ITIL Training in Damascus
Learn how dependable IT services are designed, run and improved, from your first Foundation course to the advanced ITIL modules, with clear advice on choosing between ITIL 4 and the newer ITIL (Version 5).
Why learn ITIL
ITIL is one of the most widely adopted frameworks for managing IT services. It gives service desks, operations teams and IT managers one shared way to handle incidents, requests, changes and problems, and to describe IT in terms of the value it gives the people who rely on it, rather than the servers it runs.
Banks, telecoms operators, public bodies and growing companies in Syria are investing in their systems again. New systems bring new expectations: agreed service levels, clear priorities when several things break at once, and fewer of the same failures every month. ITIL gives your team the vocabulary and the routines for that, and it frequently appears in IT job descriptions across the region.
The ITIL path, step by step
- Foundation first: ITIL 4 Foundation or ITIL (Version 5) Foundation. There are no prerequisites, just one exam, and every later module builds on it.
- Already hold ITIL 4 Foundation? The ITIL (Version 5) Foundation Bridge moves you to the new edition in a single day.
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional: four modules, Create, Deliver and Support; Drive Stakeholder Value; High-velocity IT; and Direct, Plan and Improve.
- ITIL 4 Strategic Leader: Direct, Plan and Improve together with Digital and IT Strategy.
- ITIL (Version 5) modules such as Service, Product, Experience, Strategy and AI Governance, as PeopleCert phases them in.
- Stay current: ITIL certifications run for three years and are renewed by passing another ITIL exam, retaking the same one, or logging CPD points with PeopleCert.
How we teach it
We teach ITIL through the service problems your team already has. Expect worked cases on incident and change management, service level agreements, problem management and continual improvement, explained in Arabic and practised with the English terms used in the exam and in service desk tools such as Jira Service Management.
Because PeopleCert is moving ITIL from version 4 to Version 5, we start by asking what your employer or target role recognises, then recommend the edition that makes sense for you.
- In person at our centre in Mazzeh Western Villas, Damascus.
- Live online, for IT teams across Syria or working abroad.
- Private programme for one IT department, using your own ticket categories, escalation rules and service catalogue as examples.
- Mock exams in the official question style, with every answer explained.
- An Alalamia certificate on completion of each course.
The exam: who awards it and how you sit it
ITIL is owned by PeopleCert, which awards the certifications and delivers the exams itself, mainly as online exams watched by a remote proctor. ITIL 4 Foundation is a one-hour multiple-choice exam.
ITIL exams are not delivered through Pearson VUE or Prometric, so they are not sat at our test centre. You take them online with a PeopleCert remote proctor, from a quiet room with a reliable connection and a webcam. We prepare you fully, help you register with PeopleCert and walk you through the system check before exam day. Make sure the name on your PeopleCert account matches your ID exactly.
The training pays off at once in how your team works, and many learners book the exam for the week after the course, while the material is fresh.
- Exam fees are separate from the course fee and are paid directly to the exam provider.
- Our exam booking page explains how each exam we prepare you for is taken.

It depends on what your employer or target role asks for. ITIL 4 is still widely recognised, while PeopleCert is phasing in Version 5. We advise you before you enrol, and if you already hold ITIL 4 Foundation, the one-day bridge course moves you to Version 5.
Online, with a PeopleCert remote proctor. We prepare you, help you register with PeopleCert and check your setup with you before exam day.
No formal prerequisite applies. Some time in or around an IT team helps the examples make sense, but the course is designed to be clear for newcomers too.
