Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026

Welcome

These Terms of Use and Enrolment govern your use of the Alalamia for Professional Development website and your registration in our courses, examinations, and services. By using this website or enrolling in a programme with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully; they are written to be fair and clear for both learners and organisations.

Using This Website

You may use this website to learn about our training programmes, certifications, testing services and e-learning, and to contact us. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt it, misuse it, or access areas you are not authorised to access. The information on the site is provided for general guidance; while we work to keep it accurate and current, course details, schedules, and availability may change.

Course Information Is Not a Guarantee

Descriptions of courses, durations, syllabi, and outcomes are provided to help you choose the right programme. They describe what a course covers and what it aims to help you achieve; they are not a promise of a particular examination result, certification, employment, or income. Your results depend on your own preparation, attendance, and effort, as well as factors outside our control.

Enrolment and Registration

To enrol, you provide the details we request and confirm your place in the programme. Enrolment is confirmed once we have agreed the course, the schedule, and the fee with you. Seats in a given cohort may be limited, and we confirm places in good faith based on availability at the time of registration.

Fees and Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, course fees follow a 70/30 convention: seventy percent of the fee is payable to confirm and secure your enrolment before the programme begins, and the remaining thirty percent is payable according to the schedule we agree with you during the programme. Fees for a course cover tuition and the materials specified for that course; examination fees, third-party certification fees, and optional extras are separate unless we state otherwise. All fees are quoted and payable as agreed at the time of enrolment.

Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds

If you need to withdraw from or transfer a programme, please contact us as early as possible so that we can discuss the options with you. Because we reserve resources, instructors, and seats in advance, the portion of your fee that may be refundable depends on how much notice you give and whether the programme has begun. We will always deal with you reasonably and in good faith, and any specific refund or transfer terms for a particular programme will be made clear to you at enrolment.

Examinations and Certifications

Alalamia is an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric, and we host examinations delivered through these two networks. Our curricula prepare candidates for the requirements of internationally recognised certification bodies. Important: examinations are administered under the rules, policies, identification requirements, scheduling, and scoring procedures of the respective examination and certification bodies, not by Alalamia. We do not set, mark, or guarantee examination results, and certifications are issued by the awarding bodies, not by Alalamia. Our role is to prepare you well and to provide a proper, compliant environment in which to sit your exam.

Intellectual Property

The content of this website and the training materials we create (including text, course designs, curricula, presentations, and graphics) belong to Alalamia or are used by us with permission, and are protected by applicable law. Materials provided to you for a course are for your personal learning use in connection with that course. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publish them without our written permission.

Third-Party Names and Trademarks

The names of certification bodies, examination providers, and technology platforms referred to on this website (such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, PMI, SHRM, Pearson VUE and Prometric) are the trademarks of their respective owners. We reference them only to describe the certifications we prepare candidates for and the examinations we are authorised to deliver as an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric. Our use of these names does not imply any endorsement beyond that test centre authorisation and the curriculum alignment we describe.

Availability and Limitation of Liability

We aim to keep this website and our services available and running smoothly, but we do not warrant that the site will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alalamia is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use and Enrolment, and any matter arising from your use of this website or your enrolment with us, are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic, and the competent courts of Damascus, Syria shall have jurisdiction.

Changes and Contact

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always appear on this page. If you have any question about these terms, about a course, or about enrolment, please contact us at info@alalamia-sy.com, call +963 991 099 555, or visit us at Damascus, Mazzeh Western Villas, Syria.
