Our Approach
Alalamia prepares learners for international certifications through structured courses, practice and guidance. The official exam itself is set and marked by the exam's awarding body, not by Alalamia, so a result is never in our hands. What is in our hands is how well we support you, before the exam and after it.
This policy has three parts: re-attending your Alalamia course, resitting the official exam, and the help we give you before a resit. It applies to Alalamia certification-preparation courses delivered in the classroom in Damascus or as live online classes.
Part 1: Re-attending Your Course
If you completed an Alalamia certification-preparation course and did not pass the official exam, you may rejoin a later cohort of the same course once, free of charge, when all of the following apply:
If any of these conditions is not met, you are still welcome to rejoin. A reduced re-attendance fee may apply, and we will confirm it to you in writing, in USD, before you register. Free re-attendance covers the training itself; it does not include a new exam voucher, and any new printed materials may be charged separately if your edition has changed.
Free re-attendance is personal to you and cannot be transferred to another person. It is offered once per course. Rejoining a cohort is confirmed in the same way as any enrolment: once your registration form is complete and any agreed fee has been received with a receipt.
- You attended at least 80% of the course sessions, the same attendance required for your Alalamia certificate.
- You sat the official exam within 3 months of finishing the course.
- You rejoin a cohort that starts within 6 months of the date you finished the course.
- A seat is available in that cohort. Paying learners are seated first, and we will offer you the next cohort with space if one is full.
- You can show your official score report or result notice.
Part 2: Resitting the Official Exam
Exam resits are governed by each awarding body's own retake policy, not by Alalamia. Each programme sets its own waiting periods between attempts, limits on the number of attempts, and resit fees. A resit fee is paid to the exam provider in the same way as the first attempt and is separate from your course fee.
For example, CompTIA has allowed a second attempt with no waiting period but asked candidates to wait 14 days before any further attempt; PMI has allowed up to three attempts at the PMP or CAPM exam within the one-year eligibility period; AWS has asked candidates to wait 14 days before retaking an exam. These rules change from time to time, so please always check your own programme's current retake policy on the awarding body's website before you book, and ask us if anything is unclear.
Where you sit your resit depends on the exam's delivery provider. Alalamia is an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric in Mazzeh, so resits for exams delivered through those networks can be booked at our centre. Tell us the exact exam code and we will confirm it before you book. For exams taken through another route, such as online proctoring, we help you register through the awarding body.
Part 3: Our Help Before Your Resit
A result that falls short is useful information. Bring us your score report and we will help you turn it into a clear plan, at no extra charge for learners who completed the course with us.
- Score report review: a trainer goes through your score report with you to identify the domains or sections where you lost the most marks.
- Targeted revision plan: a written plan that focuses your study time on your weakest areas, with a realistic timetable that respects the exam's waiting period.
- Practice exams: timed practice tests in exam conditions so you can measure your progress and build confidence before you book again.
- Booking guidance: help with checking your programme's retake rules, buying a new voucher from the exam provider, and choosing where and when to test.
Related Policies
Our refund, transfer and attendance rules are set out in our enrolment and refund policies. In brief: withdrawing at least 7 calendar days before a course starts gives a full refund of course fees, less materials issued and exam vouchers already bought; exam vouchers already bought are subject to the exam provider's own rules. Certificates are issued within 10 working days to learners who attend at least 80% of the course.
If you are unhappy with how this policy has been applied, you can raise a complaint. We acknowledge every complaint within 2 working days and send a full answer within 10 working days.

Yes, once, if you attended at least 80% of the sessions, sat the official exam within 3 months of finishing, and rejoin a cohort starting within 6 months of finishing, subject to a seat being available. Otherwise a reduced re-attendance fee may apply, confirmed in writing before you register.
No. Exam fees, including resit fees, are separate from our course fees and are paid to the exam provider. Free re-attendance covers the training only.
That depends on your awarding body's retake policy, which sets waiting periods, attempt limits and fees. Rules differ by programme and change over time, so check your programme's current policy, and we will help you read it.
