Why we have a code of conduct
Alalamia is a place to learn, and that works best when everyone feels respected, safe and treated fairly. This code sets out what we expect from learners, and what you can expect from us in return.
It applies to everyone enrolled with us, whether you study in our Mazzeh classrooms, join a live online class, use our self-paced library or sit an exam in our test centre. It also covers our group chats, learning platforms and any event we organise. Our trainers and staff follow the same standards of respect towards you.
Respect for everyone
Treat trainers, staff and fellow learners with courtesy, in person and online. Disagreement and debate are welcome in class; personal attacks, insults and mocking others are not.
Our learners come from different backgrounds, professions, ages and points of view. Listen when others speak, give everyone a fair chance to take part, and follow reasonable instructions from your trainer and our staff.
A harassment-free environment
We do not accept harassment, bullying, intimidation or discrimination of any kind, whether in the classroom, in our building, online or in messages between learners.
This includes unwelcome comments or contact, offensive remarks about someone's background, religion, gender, disability or appearance, sharing someone's photos or personal details without their consent, and repeated contact after someone has asked you to stop. We take every report seriously and handle it with care and discretion.
Punctuality and phones in class
Please arrive on time and return promptly after breaks. Late arrivals disturb the group, and time missed is counted under our Attendance and Certificates Policy.
Keep your phone on silent during sessions, and step outside if you need to take an urgent call. Do not photograph, film or record sessions, trainers or other learners without permission. Course materials are provided for your own learning and must not be copied or shared outside your group.
Labs, equipment and our network
Our labs, computers and network are provided for training. Please use them carefully and only for course activities, and report any fault or damage to your trainer straight away.
Practical exercises, including security and networking labs, must stay inside the lab environment your trainer sets up. Never test techniques against our network, other learners' devices or any outside system.
- Do not install software, change settings or connect devices to lab machines without your trainer's permission.
- Do not try to access accounts, files or systems that are not yours.
- Do not use our network to download illegal or offensive material, or to bypass its controls.
- Save your own work to your own storage; lab machines may be reset between sessions.
- Food and drinks stay away from equipment. Deliberate or careless damage may have to be paid for.
Academic integrity
Your Alalamia certificate or diploma says that you did the work. Assignments, projects, lab reports and tests must be your own, unless your trainer has set group work. When you use other people's ideas or text, say where they came from.
Plagiarism, copying from another learner, letting someone copy your work, having someone else complete an assessment for you, or using unauthorised help in a test are breaches of this code. Using AI tools is only allowed where your trainer says so, and you must say how you used them.
No exam dumps, no sharing of exam content
International certification exams are confidential. Candidates agree to the exam provider's rules before they test, and those rules forbid sharing or using real exam questions.
Brain-dump material, sometimes sold as "real exam questions" or "guaranteed pass" files, breaches those agreements. Vendors and awarding bodies can cancel results, revoke certifications and ban candidates from testing in future, sometimes permanently. It also leaves you without the skills the certification is meant to prove.
At Alalamia we prepare you properly, with official-style objectives, practice labs and legitimate practice tests. Do not bring, share or ask for exam dumps in our classes, groups or platforms, and do not share questions from an exam you have sat.
Test centre integrity
Alalamia is an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric in Mazzeh. Every exam follows that provider's own rules and international security standards, and those rules always come first.
Before your exam, you will be asked to show valid ID that matches your booking, and to leave phones, watches, bags, notes and other personal items in the storage provided. Exams are supervised by our proctors and may be monitored by camera, as the exam provider requires.
Any suspected misconduct, such as using notes or devices, communicating with others, impersonation, or copying or recording exam content, is stopped and reported to the exam provider. The provider decides the outcome, which can include cancelled results and a ban from future exams. Exam fees are paid to the exam provider and are not refunded by Alalamia in these cases.
Online class conduct
The same standards apply online as in the classroom. Join with your real name, keep your camera on as agreed with your trainer, and mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
Keep the chat on topic and respectful. Do not share meeting links or access details with anyone outside your group, and do not record, download or share sessions or recordings. Only enrolled learners may attend; letting someone else join or use your account is not allowed.
If the code is broken
Most issues are settled with a quiet word. Where they are not, we respond in proportion to what happened, and we always give you the chance to explain your side first.
Depending on how serious the matter is, and whether it has happened before, we may take one or more of the following steps.
- A verbal or written warning.
- Asking you to leave a session, which is then recorded as missed time.
- A failed mark or cancelled result for an assessment affected by misconduct.
- Withholding or withdrawing an Alalamia certificate or diploma obtained through misconduct.
- In serious cases, such as harassment, violence, cheating in an exam or deliberate damage, cancellation of your enrolment without a refund.
- Reporting test centre misconduct to the exam provider, and serious matters to the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
Reporting a concern
If something worries you, whether it happened to you or you saw it happen to someone else, please tell us. You can speak to your trainer, visit our office in Mazzeh, call or message us on +963 991 099 555, or email info@alalamia-sy.com.
We treat reports in confidence and share details only with the people who need them to deal with the matter. Nobody will be treated unfairly for raising a concern in good faith. We acknowledge every concern or complaint within 2 working days and give a full answer within 10 working days. If a decision is made about you under this code, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a member of our management team who was not involved.

Questions and answers
Any material that claims to contain real questions or answers from a live certification exam, often sold as "real exam questions" or "guaranteed pass" files. Legitimate practice tests that are written to the exam objectives are fine; copies of actual exam content are not, and using them can lead to cancelled results and bans.
Yes, for course activities, and following your trainer's instructions. Please keep your device's security up to date, and never use our network to test techniques outside the lab environment or to reach systems that are not yours.
Yes. We share details only with the people who need them to deal with the matter, and nobody will be treated unfairly for raising a concern in good faith. We acknowledge your report within 2 working days.
Not for serious misconduct, such as harassment, violence, cheating in an exam or deliberate damage. In those cases enrolment is cancelled without a refund. For less serious matters we start with a warning and give you the chance to explain.
Let's plan your next step together.
Tell us the course or certification you have in mind and we'll send the outline, upcoming dates, fees and private-team options.
