Professional Translation Practice: Legal, Business and Media Texts

Good translation is more than knowing two languages.

6 daysAdvanced10 modules
Overview

About this course

Good translation is more than knowing two languages. This six-day course takes practising translators into three demanding text types: legal, business and media. You will work on real-world style documents, from contracts and official records to reports, press releases and marketing copy, learning how each genre behaves in Arabic and English.

Alongside the translation practice, you will build glossaries and termbases, use technology sensibly and follow a clear revision process. You finish with a reviewed portfolio, practical feedback and an Alalamia certificate.
