TEFL Specialisation: Teaching Young Learners
Children learn languages differently from adults, and their classes need a different kind of teacher.
About this course
Children learn languages differently from adults, and their classes need a different kind of teacher. This 50-hour specialisation helps qualified teachers adapt their skills for young learners, using songs, stories, games and movement to make English memorable and fun.
You will learn how to plan lively lessons, manage behaviour positively, introduce early reading and phonics and keep parents informed about progress. The course also covers teenage learners. Micro-teaching with feedback builds your confidence, and you finish with a portfolio and an Alalamia certificate.
