Alalamia Diploma in Business English

Who it is for

Employees, managers and graduates who already have at least a lower-intermediate level of English (around A2 to B1) and need to use it at work. A placement test confirms your level, and you prepare for the one Cambridge business exam that matches it.

What you receive: Alalamia Diploma in Business English, plus preparation for the Cambridge English Business Certificate at the level that suits you (B1 Business Preliminary, B2 Business Vantage or C1 Business Higher). Exam fees are separate and paid to the exam provider.

  • Take part effectively in meetings, negotiations and everyday workplace conversations
  • Write clear, professional emails, reports and business correspondence
  • Handle telephone and online calls with confidence and the right tone
  • Plan and deliver a short business presentation in English
  • Prepare for the Cambridge English Business Certificate at B1, B2 or C1 level

How the diploma runs

Runs as an evening or weekend cohort in Damascus, as live online classes, or privately for a company team. Most learners take the core workplace courses plus one Cambridge preparation course, which takes roughly 10 to 12 weeks on an evening timetable. The diploma closes with a practical assessment of a simulated meeting, email task and presentation, followed by a timed mock exam.
