PMP Exam Preparation in Damascus
Earn the 35 contact hours PMI asks for and prepare for the Project Management Professional exam, explained in Arabic and practised in the English of the exam, at Mazzeh Western Villas or live online, so you can train and sit your exam in Damascus.
Why the PMP is worth the effort
The Project Management Professional credential is one of the most widely recognised signs that a person can lead projects, not just take part in them. It covers predictive, agile and hybrid ways of working, so it tells an employer you can choose the right approach for the job rather than follow one rigid method.
Teams in Damascus are running construction, donor-funded and private sector projects side by side, often with partners abroad who expect a shared language of scope, risk, stakeholders and business value. Preparing for the PMP gives you that language and the habits behind it, and it makes a real difference to how you run your next project, well before you sit the exam.
Your path to the PMP
- Check your experience: PMI asks for 36 months leading projects if you hold a four-year degree, or 60 months if your highest qualification is a secondary school diploma.
- Complete 35 contact hours of project management education, which our PMP preparation course provides, or hold an active CAPM.
- Not there yet? Start with Project Management Ready or the CAPM, then move on to the PMP once you have led projects.
- Write your PMI application in English, describing the projects you have led; we go through your descriptions with you during the course.
- Sit the exam through Pearson VUE at our Authorised Test Centre in Mazzeh once PMI approves your application (see the exam section below).
- Keep the PMP active by earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years.
- Build on it with PMI-ACP for agile delivery, or with our course on setting up a project management office.
How we teach it
Our preparation follows PMI's current exam content outline and is built around scenarios, because the exam rewards judgement more than memorised definitions. Trainers explain in Arabic so ideas land quickly, while slides, practice questions and mock exams stay in English, the language you will be tested in.
- In person at our centre in Mazzeh Western Villas, Damascus.
- Live online, with the same trainer and the same structure, for learners elsewhere in Syria or abroad.
- Private programme for one organisation, using your own projects, templates and reporting as worked examples.
- Full-length mock exams with every wrong answer reviewed together.
- An Alalamia certificate recording the contact hours you completed, which you keep for your PMI application.
The exam: who awards it and where you sit it
The PMP is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the exam is delivered by Pearson VUE.
Alalamia is an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric, so once PMI approves your application you can sit the PMP at our centre in Mazzeh Western Villas, on a secure, individually proctored workstation, under the same international security rules as any test centre worldwide. The same applies to CAPM, PMI-ACP and PMI-RMP.
Your application still has to meet PMI's experience requirements, and the 35 contact hours you earn with us count towards it. Tell us your exam and preferred dates and we will confirm them before you book or pay. The name on your PMI account must match your ID exactly, and rescheduling or cancellation follows the provider's rules.
- Exam fees are separate from the course fee and are paid directly to the exam provider.
- The full list of exams we deliver is on our exam booking page.
Who it suits
- Project managers and coordinators with several years' experience who want a credential recognised internationally.
- Engineers and site managers leading construction and rehabilitation work.
- Programme and project officers in NGOs and international organisations.
- IT, telecoms and software leads responsible for delivery.
- Professionals planning a move abroad who want to arrive ready to apply and sit the exam.

Yes. The PMP is delivered by Pearson VUE, and Alalamia is an Authorised Test Centre for Pearson VUE and Prometric, so once PMI approves your application you can sit it at our centre in Mazzeh. You can complete your preparation and your 35 contact hours with us too.
Yes. Our PMP preparation course covers the 35 contact hours of project management education, and you receive an Alalamia certificate recording them. Keep it safely, as PMI may ask for proof if your application is selected for audit.
Both, in a deliberate way. Trainers explain in Arabic, and all materials, practice questions and mock exams are in English, because the exam and the application are in English.
Start with Project Management Foundations, Project Management Ready or the CAPM. They build the same core knowledge, and you can move to the PMP once you have the experience PMI asks for.
Let's plan your next step together.
Tell us the course or certification you have in mind and we'll send the outline, upcoming dates, fees and private-team options.
