Architectural Visualisation with 3ds Max and V-Ray
Turn architectural designs into images that look like photographs.
About this course
Turn architectural designs into images that look like photographs. Over seven intensive days you will model interiors and exteriors in 3ds Max from CAD drawings, then use V-Ray to build realistic materials, light scenes with sun, sky, HDRI and artificial light, and set up cameras the way a photographer would.
You will also learn to balance quality against render time and to finish images in post-production. The course closes with a photorealistic project that is ready for your portfolio or a client presentation.
What you'll learn
- Set up 3ds Max scenes with correct units and file management for architectural work.
- Model interiors and exteriors from CAD plans.
- Use Editable Poly and modifiers to model furniture and details.
- Build realistic, physically based V-Ray materials.
- Light interior and exterior scenes with V-Ray lights, sun, sky and HDRI.
- Set up cameras and compositions for architectural imagery.
- Optimise render settings to balance quality and speed.
- Finish renders in post-production for presentation.
