CompTIA A+
CompTIA A+ is the widely recognised starting credential for IT support, proving that you can set up, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, mobile devices, operating systems, networks and security for end users. It is held by help desk technicians, desktop support specialists and field service staff at the start of their IT careers.
The certification requires two exams, 220-1201 (Core 1) and 220-1202 (Core 2), and suits newcomers with some hands-on experience fixing computers. Our A+ course covers both exams with practical labs in hardware, operating systems and troubleshooting, plus practice questions for each, and leads naturally on to Network+ and Security+.

Renewal and validity
A+ is part of CompTIA's continuing education (CE) programme: within each three-year cycle you earn 20 continuing education units and pay the CE fee for the cycle, or you renew in one step by passing a newer version of the exam or earning a higher-level certification such as Network+ or Security+. Check CompTIA's current renewal policy before your cycle ends, because requirements change.
Let's plan your next step together.
Tell us the course or certification you have in mind and we'll send the outline, upcoming dates, fees and private-team options.
