A half-day team challenge built around Claude. You will pick a real workplace task, design prompts that use Claude's reasoning and summarising strengths, iterate on the results and present a working solution.
What you'll learn
- Recall core prompt types used in Claude, including instructional, role based, contextual, and chain of thought prompts
- Write and test prompts that take advantage of Claude's reasoning and summarization strengths
- Evaluate and refine prompts to get more accurate and useful responses
- Work with a team to design and present a Claude supported solution
- Discuss basic ethical considerations, such as bias, privacy, and transparency, when using Claude at work

- Quick refresher on prompt types: instructional, role based, contextual, chain of thought, refinement
- What makes Claude different, and where it tends to shine, such as reasoning, summarizing, and document analysis
- Review the Prompt-a-Thon flow and what teams will deliver
- Team roles and expectations
- How to test and iterate prompts in a focused way
- Identify a few tasks or workflows that take time or create friction
- Pick one problem to solve with Claude
- Build a first draft prompt
- Test the prompt in Claude and review the output
- Try new versions and capture the strongest examples
- Share the best prompt versions within the group
- Agree on the example that tells the clearest story
- Present the problem, the prompt approach, and the result
