Python Essentials: PCEP Exam Preparation
Start programming with confidence in one of the world's most widely used languages.
About this course
Start programming with confidence in one of the world's most widely used languages. Over five days you will learn how Python runs your code, then work through data types, variables, operators, conditional logic and loops, the building blocks of every program.
The second half covers lists, tuples, dictionaries and strings, writing your own functions and handling exceptions. Each topic follows the published PCEP content outline, and regular practice questions prepare you for the Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer exam.
What you'll learn
- Explain how Python programs are interpreted and executed
- Use literals, variables, data types and operators correctly
- Control program flow with conditional statements and loops
- Store and process data with lists, tuples, dictionaries and strings
- Define and call functions using parameters, return values and scopes
- Handle common runtime errors with exceptions
- Approach the PCEP exam with a clear understanding of its format and question styles
