Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)
Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org shows that you understand Scrum as described in the Scrum Guide and can apply it with a team: the accountabilities, events and artefacts, and the empiricism and values that hold them together. It is widely held by scrum masters, team leads, project staff and anyone who wants a solid, recognised grounding in Scrum.
The credential is earned by passing an online assessment set by Scrum.org, and attending a course is not required to sit it. Our preparation course works closely through the Scrum Guide, uses realistic team situations to test your reasoning, and rehearses the style of question you will face, so you go in ready to pass at the first attempt.

Renewal and validity
Scrum.org does not charge renewal fees or ask for continuing education to keep PSM I, so it remains valid after you pass. Check Scrum.org's current policy before relying on this, because requirements can change.
