Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
The Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) proves that you can perform the core administration tasks of Red Hat Enterprise Linux: managing files, users and groups, storage and file systems, services, networking, security with firewalls and SELinux, and basic containers. It is the foundation of Red Hat's Enterprise Linux and Ansible certification paths.
You earn it by passing the performance-based exam EX200, completing real administration tasks on live systems within a set time. Our System Administration I and II courses (RH124 and RH134), or the RH199 rapid track for experienced Linux users, prepare you with practical labs and exam-style exercises, and the Ansible automation course (RH294) is the natural next step.

Renewal and validity
Red Hat certifications stay current for three years from the date earned, and Red Hat's updated renewal paths let you renew your certifications by passing the exam for your highest-level certification again, earning another certification at the same level, or advancing to a higher level. Red Hat has been reorganising its certification tracks, so check its current renewal policy before your three years are up, because requirements change.
