Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
This expert-level Microsoft certification proves that you can design and implement DevOps practices for continuous integration, delivery, security and feedback across Azure DevOps and GitHub. It is held by DevOps engineers, release managers and senior developers or administrators who bring people, processes and tooling together.
You earn it by passing exam AZ-400 while holding either the Azure Administrator Associate or the Azure Developer Associate certification. Candidates typically have solid experience in Azure administration or development, and preparation follows the AZ-400 skills outline with guided labs on pipelines, source control strategy, security and instrumentation, plus practice assessments.

Renewal and validity
The renewal assessment opens six months before expiry, is shorter than the original exam and unproctored, and each pass extends the certification by one year, independently of its associate prerequisite. Microsoft revises its renewal rules from time to time, so check the current policy on Microsoft Learn.
