Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
The Azure Network Engineer Associate proves that you can design, implement and manage Azure networking, including core infrastructure, hybrid connectivity, application delivery, private access to services and network security. It is held by network engineers and cloud administrators responsible for performance, resilience and secure connectivity.
You earn it by passing exam AZ-700. Candidates understand networking fundamentals such as name resolution, protocols and address management, plus Azure compute and storage, and our Design and Implement Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions course (AZ-700T00) follows the exam skills outline with guided labs on VPN and ExpressRoute connectivity, load balancing and network security, plus practice questions.

Renewal and validity
The renewal assessment opens six months before expiry, is shorter than the exam, unproctored and open book, and each pass adds one year; if the certification lapses, you must pass the exam again. Microsoft revises its renewal rules from time to time, so check the current policy on Microsoft Learn.
