Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
The Azure Developer Associate recognised developers who build, secure and monitor cloud applications on Azure, from compute and storage to APIs, authentication and messaging. It was held by cloud and back-end developers working across the full development lifecycle.
Microsoft has retired this certification together with its exam and renewal assessment, and its current developer credential on this path is the Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate, earned by passing exam AI-200. Our AI-200T00 course prepares you for that exam, covering containerised solutions, Azure data services for AI workloads, messaging and eventing, and secure, monitored applications, with guided labs and practice questions.

Renewal and validity
Azure Developer Associate holders keep the credential on their transcript until it expires, but renewal is no longer offered. The AI-200 credential follows Microsoft's annual model, renewed free on Microsoft Learn within six months of expiry, so check Microsoft's current policy because requirements change.
