Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
The Azure Administrator Associate proves that you can implement, manage and monitor an organisation's Azure environment, including identity and governance, storage, compute and virtual networking. It is held by cloud administrators and infrastructure engineers who keep Azure workloads running day to day.
You earn it by passing exam AZ-104. Candidates usually have hands-on experience with the Azure portal, PowerShell, Azure CLI and ARM templates or Bicep, and our Microsoft Azure Administrator course (AZ-104T00) follows the exam skills outline with guided labs, practice questions and a readiness review. The certification is also the prerequisite for the Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Renewal and validity
The assessment concentrates on recent Azure administration updates, is open book and unproctored, and comes with free preparation modules on Microsoft Learn; each pass extends the certification by one year. If it lapses, you must pass AZ-104 again to regain it, so check Microsoft's current policy on Microsoft Learn.
