Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) recognises finance professionals who can plan, analyse, control and support decisions inside an organisation. It is held by management accountants, financial analysts, controllers and finance managers who want a globally known credential focused on the work finance does for the business.
You earn it by passing two exams, Part 1 on financial planning, performance and analytics and Part 2 on strategic financial management, and by meeting IMA's education and experience requirements. Our two preparation courses follow each part's published content, mixing concept reviews with multiple-choice and essay practice so you build both the knowledge and the exam technique.

Renewal and validity
To keep the CMA active you maintain your IMA membership and complete continuing professional education every year, part of which must cover ethics. The number of hours and the reporting rules are set by IMA, so check IMA's current renewal policy before your deadline, because requirements change.
