The Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) from IIBA confirms that you understand the foundations of business analysis as set out in the BABOK Guide: its core concepts, tasks and techniques, and the value analysts bring. It suits graduates, career changers and professionals moving into analysis roles.
No work experience or prior training hours are required: you register with IIBA and pass an online multiple-choice exam drawn from the BABOK Guide and the Business Analysis Standard. Our preparation course explains each knowledge area in plain terms, with exercises and practice questions that build familiarity with the exam style.

No renewal is needed: IIBA lists the ECBA as a certificate with no expiry or recertification.
Where do you sit the exam? Online exam
IIBA exams are delivered by PSI through remote online proctoring, and CCBA and CBAP can also be taken at PSI test centres. We prepare you and help you register with IIBA.

Renewal and validity
IIBA does not require recertification for the ECBA, so it remains valid once earned, and many holders later progress to the CCBA or CBAP, which do require renewal. Check IIBA's current policy before you plan, because requirements change.
