EC-CouncilEC-Council Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU)
EC-Council Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU) shows that you can protect yourself, your data and your organisation in everyday computing: securing devices, browsing and emailing safely, spotting social engineering and backing up properly. It is ideal for office staff, students and any professional who works online.
The certification is earned through a single multiple-choice exam with no prerequisites, aimed at confident everyday users rather than IT specialists. Preparation follows the CSCU v3 curriculum with practical demonstrations, simple hands-on tasks and practice questions, making it an accessible and valuable credential for whole teams.

Renewal and validity
CSCU sits outside EC-Council's credit-based continuing professional education (CPE) scheme, so you do not log credits to keep it; holders pay a lower annual continuing education fee, and passing CSCU also earns 40 credits towards any credit-based EC-Council certification you hold. EC-Council reviews these rules periodically, so check its current continuing education policy.
