EC-CouncilEC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) proves that you understand how attackers think and can use the same tools and techniques lawfully to find and fix weaknesses. It is one of the best-known credentials for penetration testers, security analysts, auditors and network security professionals.
The core certification is earned through exam 312-50, a four-hour multiple-choice test covering reconnaissance, scanning, system hacking, malware, web applications, wireless, cloud and IoT threats. Candidates usually come from a networking or security background, and preparation follows the CEH v13 curriculum with intensive hands-on labs, attack simulations and practice exams.

Renewal and validity
Each certification in EC-Council's continuing professional education (CPE) scheme, previously known as ECE, needs its own 120 credits within its three-year window, earned through relevant activity such as events, courses, research or a newer exam version, while the annual fee keeps the certificate active year by year. EC-Council revises the scheme from time to time, so confirm the current CPE policy on its certification site.
