CompTIA Server+
CompTIA Server+ shows that you can install, configure, secure and troubleshoot server hardware and software across physical, virtual and cloud environments. It is held by server administrators, data centre technicians and systems engineers who keep business infrastructure running.
The certification is earned by passing exam SK0-005, which tests server administration, storage, security, disaster recovery and troubleshooting. Candidates usually bring around two years of hands-on server experience, and preparation follows the exam objectives with guided labs, practice questions and a structured readiness review before you book.

Renewal and validity
Server+ was previously a lifetime credential, but CompTIA has moved it, including for existing holders, into its continuing education (CE) programme: within each three-year cycle you earn 30 continuing education units and pay the CE fee, or renew in one step by passing the newest version of the exam. CompTIA updates these requirements from time to time, so check its current renewal policy before your cycle ends.
