CompTIA SecurityX
CompTIA SecurityX, formerly CASP+, validates expert-level skill in designing and engineering security across complex enterprise environments: security architecture, engineering, operations, and governance, risk and compliance. It is held by senior security engineers and architects who make technical decisions rather than only manage them.
The certification requires one exam, CAS-005, and CompTIA recommends around ten years of IT experience, including five in hands-on security. Preparation follows the exam objectives with advanced scenario-based practice and practice questions, building on the Security+, CySA+ and PenTest+ knowledge most candidates already hold.

Renewal and validity
SecurityX is part of CompTIA's continuing education (CE) programme: within each three-year cycle you earn 75 continuing education units and pay the CE fee for the cycle, or you renew in one step by passing a newer version of the exam, and renewing SecurityX also renews the lower-level CompTIA certifications it covers, such as CySA+, PenTest+ and Security+. Check CompTIA's current renewal policy before your cycle ends, because requirements change.
