CompTIA Security+ is a widely recognised entry point into cybersecurity, proving that you understand threats and vulnerabilities, security architecture, security operations, and governance, risk and compliance. It is held by security administrators, systems administrators and junior analysts who protect organisations day to day.
The certification requires one exam, SY0-701, and A+ and Network+ are the recommended foundations before you start. Our Security+ course explains each domain with practical labs and practice questions, and prepares you to move on to CySA+ or Server+.

Security+ is part of CompTIA's continuing education (CE) programme: within each three-year cycle you earn 50 continuing education units and pay the CE fee for the cycle, or you renew in one step by passing a newer version of the exam or earning a higher-level certification such as CySA+.
