CompTIA PenTest+ validates the hands-on skills to plan, scope and carry out penetration tests: reconnaissance, vulnerability discovery, attacks and exploits across networks, applications and the cloud, then clear reporting and remediation advice. It is held by penetration testers, ethical hackers and security consultants.
The certification is earned with a single exam, listed here as PT0-002; CompTIA has since released a newer version, so confirm the current exam before you book. Candidates typically bring several years of security experience, and our PenTest+ course is built around practical attack and assessment labs, plus practice questions so you are ready for the exam.

PenTest+ is part of CompTIA's continuing education (CE) programme: within each three-year cycle you earn 60 continuing education units and pay the CE fee for the cycle, or you renew in one step by passing a newer version of the exam or earning a qualifying higher-level certification such as SecurityX.
