Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter from CFA Institute is one of the most demanding qualifications in investment management. It shows rigorous command of ethics, financial reporting, economics, quantitative methods, valuation and portfolio management, and it is held by analysts, portfolio managers, investment bankers and risk and treasury professionals.
To earn the charter you pass three exams in sequence, Level I, Level II and Level III, gain the qualifying work experience CFA Institute requires and become a member. Our preparation courses take you through each level's curriculum with structured reviews, practice questions and mock exams, and help you build a realistic study plan for a programme that rewards steady, disciplined work.

Renewal and validity
Once awarded, the right to use the CFA designation depends on staying a member of CFA Institute: paying annual dues and submitting a professional conduct statement each year. CFA Institute also encourages continuing education. Check CFA Institute's current membership policy before your renewal, because requirements change.
