Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance confirms that you understand the scrum framework, its roles, events and values, and can help a team use them well. It is a widely recognised starting point for new scrum masters, team leads, project managers and anyone joining a scrum team.
You earn it by completing 16 hours of CSM training and then passing an online test of 50 multiple-choice questions, of which you must answer 37 correctly. Our course covers the full set of learning objectives through workshops and team simulations, with practice questions that prepare you for the test.

Renewal and validity
Every two years you report 20 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay the renewal fee together, and if you go on to earn the A-CSM, renewing it renews your CSM as well. Check Scrum Alliance's current renewal policy before your deadline, because requirements change.
Let's plan your next step together.
Tell us the course or certification you have in mind and we'll send the outline, upcoming dates, fees and private-team options.
