AWS Machine Learning Engineer - Associate
The AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer Associate validates that you can prepare data and build, train and deploy machine learning models on AWS, then monitor, secure and maintain them in production. It is held by machine learning engineers, MLOps engineers, data scientists and developers who put models into service.
The certification is earned through the Machine Learning Engineer Associate exam, which AWS has updated since the MLA-C01 version, so confirm the current exam code when you book; it suits candidates with at least a year of hands-on work with Amazon SageMaker AI and related AWS machine learning services. Preparation draws on AWS Technical Essentials, DevOps Engineering on AWS, Practical Data Science with Amazon SageMaker and MLOps Engineering on AWS, with exam-style practice to bring it all together.

Passing the latest exam or the Generative AI Developer Professional gives you three more years, and passing this exam also recertifies an AI Practitioner; alternatively, add one year in the final 90 days through AWS's online maintenance activities, which need an active AWS training subscription. Check AWS's current recertification policy before you plan, because requirements change.
