AWS Certified Security - Specialty
The AWS Certified Security Specialty validates expertise in securing AWS workloads: identity and access management, data protection and encryption, infrastructure security, logging and monitoring, and incident response. It is held by security engineers, cloud architects and DevSecOps professionals.
The certification is earned through the Security Specialty exam, which AWS has updated since the SCS-C02 version, so confirm the current exam code when you book; it suits candidates with around five years of IT security experience and at least two years securing AWS workloads. Our Security Engineering on AWS course follows the exam domains through practical labs, with scenario-based practice to build readiness.

Renewal and validity
Passing the latest version of the exam gives you three more years, or in the final 90 days you can add one year through AWS's online maintenance activities, which need an active AWS training subscription. Check AWS's current recertification policy before you plan, because requirements change.
