AWS Certified Database - Specialty
The AWS Certified Database Specialty recognised deep expertise in designing, migrating, securing and tuning the full range of AWS database services, relational and non-relational. It was held by database administrators, data architects and engineers responsible for database workloads on AWS.
AWS has retired the DBS-C01 exam, so the credential is no longer issued to new candidates. Our Planning and Designing Databases on AWS course still builds the same skills in choosing, designing and operating AWS databases, and pairs well with current credentials such as the Data Engineer Associate.

Renewal and validity
Because AWS no longer offers this exam, there is no recertification route, and each credential lapses three years after it was earned. To keep a current database credential on your profile, consider a related active AWS certification, and check AWS's current policy because requirements change.
