Certified Public Accountant (US CPA)

The US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the licence that qualifies accountants to practise public accounting in the United States, and it is respected worldwide as a mark of depth in accounting, audit, tax and business reporting. It suits accountants and auditors who work with US-listed groups, multinational firms or international audit practices, and anyone aiming for a senior finance career with an international reach.

Overview

The exam is developed by the AICPA and administered with NASBA. Candidates pass three core sections, Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Taxation and Regulation (REG), plus one discipline section of their choice: Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR), Information Systems and Controls (ISC) or Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP). We offer a preparation course for every section, so you can build your own path and prepare one section at a time.

Renewal and validity

Passing the exam is one step; the licence itself is granted by a US state board, which also sets the education and experience you need and the renewal cycle, typically with continuing professional education and ethics hours. Rules vary from state to state, so check your state board's current requirements before you apply and before each renewal.

Let's plan your next step together.

Tell us the course or certification you have in mind and we'll send the outline, upcoming dates, fees and private-team options.
