Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) recognises professionals who can prevent, detect and investigate fraud. It is held by internal and external auditors, compliance officers, investigators, forensic accountants and risk specialists in banks, companies and public bodies, and it signals that you understand how fraud happens and how to build a case that stands up.

Overview

To earn it you become an ACFE member, meet the association's education and experience requirements and pass the CFE exam, which has four sections: Financial Transactions and Fraud Schemes, Law, Investigation, and Fraud Prevention and Deterrence. Our preparation course works through each section with practical cases, from tracing fraudulent transactions to interviewing and reporting, then rehearses the exam format so you can plan your study and sit each section with confidence.
